He’s Alive! Let’s Celebrate Easter.

Most people are not aware of the huge number of witnesses who saw Jesus AFTER the resurrection. “He’s alive” were the words of the day for lots of folks. These were not just His followers, but many of them were skeptics and opponents of the Christian movement of the day. All of the witnesses who proclaimed that it was indeed Jesus and He was indeed alive give me hope that one day I will have a resurrected body also.

He's Alive

I had the privilege of visiting this tomb last year and saw exactly what everybody else saw that day. The tomb was empty and still is. I’m not interested in arguing about His presence in the world today because He reveals Himself to me in so many ways that you could never convince me otherwise.

He’s Alive. Let’s Celebrate.

How should we celebrate the fact that He lives? I don’t think it should be a one-day celebration but a lifestyle that celebrates His goodness, grace, mercy, and love. We should exhibit those qualities in our lives every day. Of course, it isn’t always easy to love others in today’s society, but the blessings we receive are worth it all.

Many Christians will celebrate with Easter Sonrise Services which is a very good way to start the day. Then why not enjoy fellowship around the table with a breakfast meal. What sort of meal? That depends on what you enjoy. Some like grits, eggs, sausage, and biscuits with milk, coffee, or tea. Others prefer a fancy meal with steak, eggs, hash browns, and even a good quality bottle of wine. Lots of folks like to get a new outfit for the day. Whatever your choice is, let’s celebrate the greatest single event in history together. One day we will join an even greater celebration. Maranatha!
